SUSPENSION WITH PROGRESSIVE HYDRAULIC CUSHIONS

The Progressive Hydraulic Cushionis like many Citroën innovations: beautifully simple. Unlike an ordinary suspension system that uses a shock absorber, coil spring and mechanical stop, the Citroën solution adds two hydraulic cushions to smoothly control compression and rebound. This slows down large or abrupt suspension movements and glides over minor road imperfections, delivering a balance of poise and unmatched ride comfort.

New Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch marks a major step forward in the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme as the first model in Europe to feature suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions(PHC) and the first in the world to be equipped with advanced Comfort Seats. The new model thus provides unrivalled ride comfort in typical Citroën fashion.

An innovative design, combining high-density foam in the seat centre and thick textured foam on the surface, ensures softness and support at all times.

Combined with broad and visually comfortable seats, the design offers appreciable ride comfort on short and long journeys alike.
